Monday- Driving home from Thunderbay the girls and I were talking about how we never see ambulances around Sioux Center and how nothing really terrible goes on around Dordt.
Wed. morning- read my brothers blog about gravestones and the actions in our life determining what happens when we die. Talked to Pam for a good while about this pondering how we could die any day and we need to remember God as the focus of our life.
Wed. 4:30- Got out of work, could see Dordt and an ambulance pull out and heard the sirens and horns honking all the way down the street.
Wed. 5:30- talked to Brian bouma, who was there when the kid was passed out on the ground. He said he had no pulse when they took him away, but I figured the doctors could use thier cures to make him better. Besides he was only a freshman and way to young to die.
Wed. night- Got an email that he died after playing racketball which he said on his webpage was his favorite new thing.
Wed. 10:00- had a prayer service for him
Wed. after- talked to one of my friends who saw the kid being put on the stretcher and saw his ghostly white arm flop off. He kinda knew he was dead.
Its really sad how fast a life could go. I feel for his family who is in California who were anxious for him to get home from his first semester of college.
I did not even know Jon, but he reminded me of an important lesson. This life is not my own, but I belong to Christ. Therefore, I have to live my life in accordance to him, so that when I die I will be ready to see my Savior. I also want everyone to know that I died loving my Savior up to my very last breath.

Thunderbay!!
This thanksgiving break I took off and went to canada! I have a friend that lives on a cheese farm so I went to see how they make the gouda cheese and see her little dutch store. Her parents both came from holland 25 years ago and they both have heavy accents. I could not understand her dad at all, so it was pretty funny trying to figure out what he was saying to me. She also lives in a trailer while her family builds a new house so that was quite fun living in that! Here are some pictures of my time there, so of us working on the cheese farm making cheese curds and flipping the cheese and the others of thunderbay!

Nothing to new!
Not a lot has been happening here... I just had a busy couple weeks of test so that now I have nothing to do because I am starting new units in almost all my classes. This weekend was very low key, I went to the nursing home to play bingo with some old folks for a class. It is every interesting about how you almost have to treat them like they are children. It will be depressing being that old. It was good.. something that I would never really do unless I had to. :) Otherwise nothing else is new.. I will post a couple pictures of my cowgirl outfit for a costume party!
